Earthquake endless
Unfortunately, the situation is becoming heavier and we are helpless and powerless in front of this catastrophic scenario that sees our region completely reversed on itself and ours amazing places, hit hard.

The artistic heart of Italy inside the ancient villages has an open wound which must intervene in days, it is now the urgent appointment of the Superintendent for only the areas affected by the earthquake.

It is an earthquake that hit all four regions rich in cultural heritage, and the Superintendent will have the task to focus on the recovery of movable and immovable heritage while Mr. Franceschini (Minister of Heritage and cultural activities and tourism) looks for more funds to save the art. While images of the wounded masterpieces go around the world, the Minister announced, in recent days, that Art bonus will be extended also to the severely affected ecclesiastical goods.As you know, for many years, Legambiente works on training and on recovery of cultural property in the state of emergency and our experience is unique in Italy and sees a protocol between Civil Protection, Mibact and Legambiente to intervene in an emergency. Unfortunately, although activated soon after the first big Earthquake shock of August 24 by the Civil Defence, of which we are a part of the mobile column, we still managed to make available our expertise and our volunteers who in recent years we have formed with passion and conviction.

In recent months we have urged the Ministry, about the agreement, which shall authorize us to go on the field, but without results. After 30 th October, unfortunately, the work we do is even more useful and urgent and it is for this reason that we decided even to urge until you come out publicly with a post signed by our president Mrs Rossella Muroni.

We are confident that soon the situation will be unlocked, at least we hope so because, as we are done, we can not just stay with our arms folded watching our riches to suffer in this way. The call to help and aid the areas of the National Park of the Sibillini Mountains, the municipalities of our beloved “Great Little Italy”, the cultural goods “Salvalarte” center for many years, the principals of quality of life and of our typical products that represent not only our history but also our ability to give the future and hope, is too strong. We hope soon to be able to call to help our region Marche, we did it in 1997 and we will make it this time too.
